Month Four (June 5th - July 4th)

He is very cranky in this month's pictures and I don't blame him.

The day before was his four month doctor visit, and he not only had several vaccines, but he was sent to the ENT to have his tongue and lip tie cut.  We were having some nursing issues and those seemed to be the culprit.

Our little guy is now 13 pounds and 13 ounces and 24.5 inches long.  This past month he has been studying his hands and feet in depth, and learned to laugh!

Biscuit got to see his very first fireworks show at Kerr Lake!

The kitty is becoming much more tolerant of the tiny human.

Michael got to celebrate his very first Father's Day!

We have had lots of fun at the pool!

He is quite a hit with the ladies.

And he has been teething, teething, teething.

Some of his favorite activities this month have been reading,

scientific study,

intense discussion regarding his scientific studies,

and napping.

I apologize for the lateness of this past month's update!  I hope you continue to check in on us!

Month Three (May 5th - Jun 4th)

It has been a wonderful month.  I believe one of my weekly posts has already covered up to Mother's Day, so we will continue from there. This month has been a month of change.  Every day it seems like he is learning something new.  He "talks" to us all the time and has definitely developed a bit of an attitude. Here he is telling me he does not want to be in the carseat.

He tells us if something is wrong, in no uncertain terms. He has also started a very half-assed but dramatic cry.  We haven't figured it out yet, but he frequently stops and looks at us and even smiles in between his cries of "ooowah ooowah."  He has started reaching for toys and has been grasping on to every thing in reach.  We also think he may have started teething.

 He loves being outside

and we often spend the afternoon on a quilt in the front yard looking at clouds.

He is gaining a lot of strength, and is trying so hard to roll over but hasn't quite made it yet.

He also had one very short nap all by himself in his room.  Daddy watched the camera the entire time.

His hair just keeps getting longer and longer.

He can't sit up on his own, but his Bumbo gives him a little independence.

And as soon as his feet reach the floor his jumper will, too!

Speaking of feet, he has recently discovered his hands and feet, and can't keep his hands out of his mouth!

We recently attempted bedtime sans swaddle

and it went well the first night, but slowly unraveled...and so did mommy, so we are back in the swaddle for now.

And speaking of bedtime, it is almost mine.

I hope you enjoyed our little update!  See you next month!

New schedule!

I still want to keep this up as a regular thing, so I have decided to make at least one monthly post by the 4th of each month. (if I am in town, July's post will be late!) So, look for more pictures and an update on life on Gwynn Oaks sometime Wednesday evening! Please pester me to update if I don't do it on time.

Biscuit and I have become quite busy lately and we may not update on a weekly basis anymore.  Thanks so much for keeping track of our lives!  We hope to have a nice long post for you sometime soon!

Week 10: Happy Mother's Day! (May 13)

Biscuit had his 2 month check up this week and all was well.  He is growing well, still in the 6th percentile for weight but moved up to the 7th percentile in height. His head circumference went from the 34th percentile down to 22nd.

This Sunday was my first Mother's Day and Michael knocked it out of the park.  I will let the pictures speak for themselves.
